Walking Fool!

Its not going to be long now! Alex really had no interest in walking until a few days ago. At the beginning of September Grandma Sue bought him his car and he really just liked playing the music. Now its all I can do to stop him from doing laps in the house. Its funny because in the morning he is really aggressive and tries to "run" but then realizes that he probably shouldn't. I really hope that Alex walks before Patrick leaves so that he doesn't miss it, but I also am not ready to have a walking child...

There are a lot of new videos on our youtube page. I am trying to take lots of videos for Patrick to take with him when he goes.

Alex still hates fruit and isn't sleeping like he used to but we are more used to it.

2 tooths make Teeth!

Its official Alex now has teeth =) Both of his bottom teeth have broken the skin, the left one if finally getting tall enough to see in a picture so I will post when I can get one.

He has been having a pretty rough time with the sleeping since August because of all the company we had. I am sure the teething didn't help and we might be going through a growth spurt as well. He does NOT want to take a nap ever, he fights and fights it. Finally I just give him a bottle and he relaxes for his peaceful 20 minute nap....I just try and get him to take a nap at every bottle now to get some sleep during the day. At night he is doing good most nights but the last two weeks he has been getting up 2 or 3 times a night. He doesn't want to eat each time but he wants to come to our room with us so we are working on keeping him in his room as much as we like to have him some mornings. Now that the second tooth is in, he is still getting up at like 3 or 4 but he just wants to play his ocean wonders music box in the dark because its kind of like a light show. We just let him play in his room till he cries (30 min usually) then he goes right back to sleep. He is sooo silly!

Just say no to fruit! Since we started this teething thing Alex really stopped like eating fruit and just wanted his formula, baby meat or veggies . Whenever I put him in his high chair he knows whats coming so he will stick his little toungue out and test what I am planning on feeding him. If he wants it he will start banging his hands on the table and and eat. If not he will lock his lips sooooooo tight and stare off to the wall like I am not sitting there trying to feed him. He loves Gerber puffs and cherrios. Whenever Patrick and I eat he just stares at us, its kind of funny to look across the table and see Pete and Alex "begging."

On a funny and probably embarressing note for him when he is 15 but he found his weiny =) I have to rush to clean him before he goes to "play" during his diaper changes. During bath time, which is his favorite time of day I think, he will go to play with a toy and stop suddenly and check the goods to make sure they are still there then go back to playing with his toys. He does this over and over for the whole bath. I love watching him grow and do new silly things.

Thats all for now!

Did you brush your tooth?

The last picture of my gummy smile!

Its official Alex has his first tooth! After two months of me saying that he is teething, Alex's first tooth cut through yesterday at seven months exactly! Today you can see the whole top of the tooth. I tried to get a picture but its not that obvious yet. I have to say that I am very sad about this milestone becuase I LOVE that gummy smile. Alex does have the BEST smile (I may be biased but he does ask anyone) so I hope his one toofy smile is just as cute =). All of our company has come and gone, it was sooo nice seeing everyone, it gets lonely out here! We are excited about our trip to Virginia coming up but it will be bittersweet! See everyone soon!
