Congratulations on getting the job! But better than that is it is the job you really want doing what you want to do. So that is much better than just doing something to be away from Alex. I know you don't really want to be away from him but if you didn't try this, I think you'd uregret it later that you didn't take the risk. The worst that could happen is you don't like it and he doesn't adjust to being away from you. But both of those are very unlikely. I'm sure everyone is telling you to 'go for it!!!'
